World Wide Web Consortium, WAP Forum Establish Formal Liaison

W3C and WAP Forum launch a formal liaison relationship to define next-generation World Wide Web specifications that support the full participation of wireless devices. "Building the Web as a universal space requires device independence," says Tim Berners-Lee, Director of W3C. "Seamless integration of wireless devices is essential."
