What is TPAC

TPAC is the most important W3C community event of the year. During this exciting week, W3C working and interest groups gather and network to resolve the challenging technical and social issues that the web faces. TPAC brings together W3C technical groups, the W3C Board of Directors, the W3C Advisory Board, the W3C Technical Architecture Group and the W3C Advisory Committee.

W3C meetings operate under the W3C Code of Conduct and the W3C Antitrust and Competition Policy.

Press at TPAC

TPAC is a working meeting of W3C members and groups. While most meeting records will be made publicly available online after the meeting, many participants prefer that their work-in-progress not be reported, verbatim or otherwise. Further, some organizations prohibit their employees from speaking to the press about in-progress work.

We don't want to inhibit participation. This event is therefore not open to the press.

Participating at TPAC

This year we’re making changes aiming to provide even greater value to participants:

  • driving progress on strategic topics such as AI, digital identity, open source software, and ensuring that technology development remains rooted in human needs
  • building shared understanding and community-wide alignment to sustain momentum beyond TPAC
  • fostering stronger collaboration and a greater the sense of community across W3C
  • enhancing the overall TPAC experience for participants
