Web and AI: Future of the web in the rising Intent oriented paradigm
Add to calendarThe event aims to bring together technology leaders from global browser vendors, leading LLM and intelligent tool companies, Web application service providers, developers, relevant open-source communities, and research institutions. Together, we will explore new opportunities in technology and standardization for the Agentic Web era.
The event is free and open to W3C members and invited guests. The event language is Chinese and English bilingual, with simultaneous interpretation provided. Please register before April 20.
We are grateful to Beihang University and Huawei for their sponsorship of this event.
Event Description
Today, AI is reshaping software development paradigms and human–computer interaction. The leap in automated code generation is driving software development toward an “intent-oriented” direction, where developers’ core value is shifting from “how to write code” to “how to express intent and validate results.” Design environments, constraints, or intent descriptions are becoming a new class of software assets, playing a key role in building the core competitiveness of software enterprises. Web developers—serving as the bridge between technology and users—stand at the forefront of this transformation.
At the same time, intent-driven multi-agents and their interactions are becoming a new paradigm for software, and the Web—as the world's largest resource network and application service infrastructure—will undoubtedly assume an even more significant role. However, as agents become the new generation of application entry points, how do we build an "Agentic Web" that is both autonomous and trustworthy? What standards, protocols, and collaboration mechanisms does the global Web community need to ensure the openness and interoperability of the Agentic Web?
We stand at the threshold of a new Web era!
The event features two core sessions:
- Session 1: The Future of Front-End Development – Exploring how AI development toolchains, developers, and Web technology standards can co-evolve.
- Session 2: Agentic Web – Discussing how Web standards can lay the foundation for a trustworthy and open Agent ecosystem in the era of autonomous agent interaction.
Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and in-depth interactive exchanges, we aim to build industry consensus and chart a course for the global Web community in navigating the AI wave. Whether you are a technology practitioner, standards setter, or forward-thinking researcher, you are welcome to join this dialogue about the future of the Web.
