PNG Second Edition Is a W3C Recommendation

The World Wide Web Consortium today released the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) Specification (Second Edition) as a W3C Recommendation. The document has also become an International Standard, ISO/IEC 15948:2003. PNG is a graphics file format for raster images. Indexed-color, grayscale, and truecolor images are supported plus an optional alpha channel. Read more about the Graphics Activity.
