This breakout will be divided into two parts:

  • Part 1: External Metadata Integration — How ReSpec and Bikeshed could leverage shared metadata files (e.g. JSON files) to provide more details on the future of the specification. We'll discuss practical approaches to linking external data sources and improving maintainability. The use case mainly comes from the revamp of the CG program but there may be other needs.
  • Part 2: Bikeshed support in spec-generator — We are looking at adding bikeshed support to spec-generator. We will present a demo and discuss what we are missing to replace the service from csswg.org.
