XML Query Algebra Working Draft Published

The XML Query Working Group has published a Working Draft of The XML Query Algebra. Building on traditions in the database community, the algebra is powerful enough to capture the semantics of many XML query languages, and includes analogues of most of the laws of relational algebra.
