Meeting
Through a more systematic approach to open source software (OSS), W3C can have a variety of positive impacts on the Web, including interoperability gains, an accelerated incubation-to-adoption pipeline, increased resilience of the Web through sustained support for critical code resources, and more widely adopted code that aligns with W3C’s mission and values. The Structural Evolution Initiative Task Force has been discussing this topic for several months, and the staff plans to present in plenary some of their ideas for taking a more systematic approach to integrating open source software projects in W3C. This breakout session is for structured discussion within the Membership about questions, concerns, and support.
Goal(s):
Seek feedback and questions on an open source software program at W3C.
