This will be a set of roundtable discussions facilitated by J. Alan Bird, W3C Global Business Development Leader, at the Standards Cafe at IOTWorld in San Diego.

The session will go from 1100A - 1445P PST on Friday, 13 March.  The discussion groups will look at are:

  • Do you pick best of breed solutions from different “IoT Consortia” or live within that define stack for ease of implementation?
  • How hard is it to implement solutions that are from the same “IoT Consortia”? What about when you pick best of breed solutions?
  • When you implement new solutions, how hard is it to integrate them with your existing in-house solutions?
  • What role would you want a Global SDO to play in these scenarios?
