We are now two weeks away from TPAC 2019, the annual five-day event that allows over 500 people to coordinate the development of Web standards done in W3C's working groups, community groups, the Advisory Board, and the Technical Architecture Group (TAG). Working Groups, Interest Groups and the W3C Advisory Committee will hold their face to face meetings in one place and have the opportunity to meet and liaise with participants from other groups. The Wednesday of that week has 6 hours of breakout sessions: an opportunity for everyone to propose, choose, and participate in breakout sessions on a wide variety of topics relating to W3C activities, and a chance to contribute to discussions and connect with people working on ideas that may not fall within everyone's usual areas of activity.

  • The Reality Domain aims to create new user experiences applicable within Rakuten services through prototyping, proof-of-concept studies, and real-world deployments. We are focusing on novel user interfaces and user experience, computer vision, and multimedia processing. Our activity includes transferring practical state-of-the-art technologies into Rakuten's businesses, as well as proposing future concepts and vision.
