I don't think we need to comment further on this. We're currently only tracking; the CSS issue is open, but not active. I think we should just observe and wait for something else to happen. -- GitHub

Also, the [latest version of the spec](https://drafts.csswg.org/selectors-4/#blank) on the `:blank` selector no longer refers to white spaces, and says this instead: I think we can close this issue.
