3. Administrative items
   • TAG election
     • TAG election call for votes (W3C member-only): 9 candidates for four seats
     • Per agreement from the candidates, election position statements are now public. The expectation is that discussion will be held on the www-tag mailing list.
   • Reminder: January TAG meeting is now 14-16 January (Mon-Wed) in Cambridge, MA USA. This is a change from earlier plans to meet on the West Coast. The March meeting may be moved to San Jose.

5. ISSUE-67 (HTML-XML-Divergence-67): HTML / XML Unification

   • Goals:
     • Consider the request from Henri Sivonen that the TAG Rescind the request to the HTML WG to develop a polyglot guide
   • Background:
     • E-mail from Sam Ruby (26 March 2010) conveying to HTML WG the TAG's request that a "there should be in TR space a document which specifies how one can create a set of bits which can be served EITHER as text/html OR as application/xhtml+xml, which will work identically in a browser in both bases."
     • Sam's request appears to be a follow-on to a joint discussion between the TAG and the HTML working group chairs which occurred on 24 March 2010 (minutes). Tim Berners-Lee is quoted in those minutes as saying "I want that there should be in TR space a document which specifies how I can create a set of bits which I can server EITHER as text/html OR as xhtml+xml, which will work in a browser in both cases, as Sam does on his web site."
