Meeting
The mission of the Web-based Digital Twins for Smart Cities Interest Group
(SCIG) is working on the following:
- identify and document use cases and requirements that W3C specifications need to meet to support various services within Smart Cities,
- obtain feedback from all stakeholders on the usage of Web technologies for those services,
- gather expert input on important features for those services based on the Web technology,
- and provide a forum for technical and business discussions related to those services.
You will learn the current best practices of cutting-edge standards for smart
cities around possible framework and vocabulary ontologies, and then see how Web standards could possibly counter the fragmentation of existing smart city
approaches.

approaches.
Goal(s):
Based on the group's Charter, we'll summarize the SCIG's discussion so far, and ask the key stakholders from related SDOs about their pain points and current best practices. Then we'd like to discuss what is still missing and what Web standards possibly could improve the fragmented situation.
Agenda:
- Review the discussion so far
- Get input from stakeholders about their pain points and current practices
- Discuss what's still missing and what/how Web standards could help
