Web platform APIs are typically specified having web browsers as their main target. However, there is a large set of JavaScript runtimes that benefit from having a common API surface with the web platform.

WinterCG is a W3C Community Group focused on the needs of such runtimes, particularly in the server side. The main focus of this CG has been to work on a minimum subset of web platform APIs that all such runtimes would support (the WinterCG Minimum Common API), but we also work on identifying areas where such runtimes would benefit from changes in the web platform specs.
