Publishing WG Telco, 2019-08-12: packaging ws report, rel attributes, rendering hits

Web Packaging Workshop report
Dave Cramer was present at the Workshop (organized by IETF) and gave a brief report. The discussion was also around the work currently spearheaded by Google on packaing. The most interesting aspect for this group may be the combination of all resources into a single binary file; a browser may be able to unpack such a file directly. The other aspect ('origin substitution') seems to be more controversial at the moment
Issue Discussions
The group discussed some outstanding issues:
- Creation of rel attributes for extra resources: the resolution was to postpone this. In case there is a real need, possibly try to register them at IANA, but it is not clear whether there is a real need indeed.
- Metadata rendering hits: should they appear in the manifest: these are EPUB properties mostly around FXL. The decision is to keep this open for now, but not reproduce them in the manifest, which is not about rendering anyway.
