[09:32] Pierre mentioned in France for disabled persons and seniors also have special user needs, more and more administrative processes are materialized and available online, so they have difficulties.
[09:33] Pierre: how to access online resources is a debate currently in France
[09:33] Noreen: especially with Covid that it is more important, everyone has stages in life, and experiences, where need some kind of assistance
[09:34] Noreen: be aware that often don’t know what types of needs a user may have
[09:35] Noreen: addressing with Shari discoverability of care takers facing medical issues today. Did a workshop at the information architecture conference on search and information architecture, explored group personas
[09:35] Noreen: difficult for parents to make appointments for children.
[09:36] Noreen: often assumptions that the person making the appointment is the patient
[09:36] Bev ran into similar issues with guardianship. Guardians as end-users.
[09:37] Technologies do not seem to understand guardianship accessibility. Law demands it but applications and services do not provide it or build accessibility into the systems.
