W3C has launched the Law and Technology Community Group

The mission of the Law and Technology Community Group is to serve as a place for legal professionals and those interested in the law to share information on how current laws affect the implementation of new web technologies as well as how those new technologies can affect the law.

In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account.

This group was originally proposed on 2012-06-05 by Tucker Carney. The following people supported its creation: Tucker Carney, Nick Doty, Shashi Shailaj, Mike Schinkel, Veronica Cisneros.

If you believe that there is an issue with this group that requires the attention of the W3C staff, please send us email on site-comments@w3.org

Thank you,

One Response to Call for Participation in Law and Technology Community Group

  • I think this is a super important topic. Last week we issued a press release, and we wanted to keep a third party archive of certain web pages for future reference. This lead me to read about how archived web pages affected the outcome of a legal dispute. I am glad that a group about legal issues is in formation
