XForms Day 2015, November 5th 2015
Posted on:This year’s XML Amsterdam is to host a pre-conference event devoted to XForms. XForms Day 2015 will provide:
- An introduction to XForms and what to expect in version 2;
- Case studies of how XForms is currently being used;
- Presentations by XForms implementers;
- Comparison with HTML5 forms.
The event, taking place on November 5th, is a great opportunity to learn about XForms and to talk with members of the W3C Working Group, implementers and users.
It looks like on 4/8/2015 the W3C Forms Working Group offically closed down. Does anyone know if Xforms 2.0 will actually ever come out now and if so just how long it may be before we get it. And for that matter if it is not officially endorsed by the W3C does that mean that it won’t be widely adopted or supported by most browsers? Thanks – RDL
Same question from me …after apx 6 months
XForms 2.0 is being developed in this very community group. You can follow the development of the spec on the mailing list https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/, and you can even join the group if you want to be involved.
