Call for Participation in Open Cloud Mesh Community Group
Posted on:The Open Cloud Mesh Community Group has been launched!
This community group is equivalent to the loose “Open Cloud Mesh” collaboration, currently hosted as part of the CS3 Organization.
As of September 2023, work on OCM is co-funded by NLnet, CERN, and individual implementers.
By creating this W3C CG we want to make our ongoing work more visible to the wider web standards community.
Brief history
This initiative started within individual vendors such as ownCloud, then moved to Géant.
Since 2020 it found a home within the CS3 community.
In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account. Please note, however, that W3C Membership is not required to join a Community Group.
This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2023-09-21 by Michiel de Jong. The following people supported its creation: Michiel de Jong, Rachel Yager, Giuseppe Lo Presti, Mahdi Baghbani, Gianmaria Del Monte. W3C’s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of the activities.
If you believe that there is an issue with this group that requires the attention of the W3C staff, please email us at site-comments@w3.org
Thank you,
W3C Community Development Team
