Call for Participation in Licensed Content Community Group

Group to discuss how to handle licensed content that is published on the web.
Propose an efficient way forward for all stakeholders.
Content involved:
– (stock) photos
– song lyrics
– video
Currently majority of enforcement relies on identifying unlicensed content, contact publisher or hoster, followed up by DMCA’s or proof of ownership/licensing.
Current known stakeholders:
- Google / Youtube
- Microsoft/Bing
- Web Sheriff
- Pex
- Shutterstock
- NMPA
- Lyricsseal/Directlyrics

In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account. Please note, however, that W3C Membership is not required to join a Community Group.
This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2017-02-07 by Yvo Schaap. The following people supported its creation: Yvo Schaap, Johan Schaap, Mohamed ZERGAOUI, Audald Lloret-Villas, Byongseung Cho. W3C’s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of the activities.
