LDP Next aims to continue the work started by the LDP Working Group. LDP Next hopes to address the following topics that were not covered by LDP 1.0: (1) extensibility and discovery — allow clients to easily discover server affordances; (2) inlining on GET and POST — allow clients to request and create multiple resource with a single HTTP request; (3) query / search over LDPCs and LDPRs; (4) access control — provide a mechanism to control access to Linked Data Platform Resources.

The LDP Next Community Group has been launched:

LDP Next aims to continue the work started by the LDP Working Group.

LDP Next hopes to address the following topics that were not covered by LDP 1.0: (1) extensibility and discovery — allow clients to easily discover server affordances; (2) inlining on GET and POST — allow clients to request and create multiple resource with a single HTTP request; (3) query / search over LDPCs and LDPRs; (4) access control — provide a mechanism to control access to Linked Data Platform Resources.

In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account. Please note, however, that W3C Membership is not required to join a Community Group.

This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2015-07-15 by Andrei Sambra. The following people supported its creation: Andrei Sambra, Sandro Hawke, Arnaud Le Hors, Roger Menday, Dominik Tomaszuk. W3C’s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of the activities.

The group must now choose a chair. Read more about how to get started in a new group and good practice for running a group.
