Greetings! I would also like to welcome your participation in the Chinese Web Accessibility Community Group, and to thank you all for your interest in Web accessibility.

I look forward to meeting you in Shenzhen, for people who are able to attend the W3C “TPAC” (Technical Plenary and Advisory Committee) meeting soon.

You can find information on this event here
    http://www.w3.org/2013/11/TPAC/
and registration is still open through today, 22 October (Boston time):
    https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35125/TPAC2013/

There are three Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Working Group meetings during that week. These include:

    1) Protocols and Formats Working Group (PFWG), which is meeting Monday and Tuesday. This group develops WAI-ARIA, Accessible Rich Internet Applications.

    2) User Agent Guidelines Working Group (UAWG), also meeting Monday and Tuesday. This group develops browser accessibility guidelines, which is also relevant for mobile accessibility.

    3) Indie UI Working Group (IndieUI) is meeting Thursday and Friday. This is also relevant for mobile accessibility. More info is here: http://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/indieui

You are welcome to register as an observer if you’d like to watch some of the meetings. If you want to join the group, you can join it as a participant.

There will also be a launch ceremony for this Chinese Web Accessibility Community Group on Monday afternoon, November 11th, probably at 3pm. Stone or Alex will provide more information on this.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

    Thank you,
