Proposed Group: Infinite Canvas Community Group Community Group

The Infinite Canvas Community Group Community Group has been proposed by Orion Reed:

The Infinite Canvas Community Group explores the needs of infinite canvas tools—including spatial canvas applications, whiteboarding platforms, and collaborative design environments—in relation to the web standards platform. Building on the Open Canvas Working Group’s development of the Open Canvas Interchange Format (OCIF), this group will: – Identify web platform requirements for infinite canvas applications – Develop interoperability standards for infinite canvas data exchange – Explore integration points with existing W3C specifications (SVG, Canvas APIs, Web Components, etc.)

The group aims to establish how existing web standards can better support infinite canvas use cases and where new standardization efforts may be beneficial, fostering an ecosystem where different infinite canvas tools can interoperate seamlessly on the web platform.

You are invited to support the creation of this group. Once the group has a total of 5 supporters, it will be launched and people can join to begin work. In order to support the group, you will need a W3C account.

Once launched, the group will no longer be listed as “proposed”; it will be in the list of current groups.

If you believe that there is an issue with this group that requires the attention of the W3C staff, please send us email on site-comments@w3.org

Thank you,
W3C Community Development Team
