Call for Participation in Web Protocols and Energy Utilization Community Group

W3C has launched the Web Protocols and Energy Utilization Community Group


The mission of this group is to refactor Web Protocols in order to make them less energy utilizing for those who are concerned of that aspect. Make it possible to get immediate feedback to the end user how much each dialogue step did caused in resource utilization and ensure a smooth transition. Enable a smooth transition. Mix of old and new must cooperate.


In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account.

This group was originally proposed on 2011-11-09 by Willy Svenningsson. The following people supported its creation: Willy Svenningsson, Somnath Chandra, Sunghan Kim, Alexandre Morgaut, Shashi Shailaj.
