Community and Business Groups Live

Welcome, all. Today we leave beta and launch W3C Community and Business Groups for all. Many thanks to the people who created groups during our beta. This helped us tremendously, and it was exciting to see people start work on a wide range of topics.

Starting today, anyone my propose and join groups. We look forward to making it easy for you to innovate at W3C. If you have questions, we’re on irc.w3.org:6665 in channel #community. Or write us at site-comments@w3.org.

Even as we launch, we are looking ahead to the next set of features for the system. You’ll notice that the Reports page is placeholder for now. Over the next few weeks we will build the publications management system, which will allow groups to publish the specifications that will populate the reports page. If you are interested in proposing a style for Community and Business Group Specifications, let me know.
