JS: The RQTF is starting to get
traction.
... It needs more participation though.
... Shadi and I attended the WoT meeting in Berlin.
... Tried to submit a paper but received pushback because the
accessibility of WoT interfaces was "taken as a given".
... We need to liaise with Johannes Hund (co-chair of the WoT
WG) on this.
LW: TPG has two peole in the WoT WG already.
GZ: I follow ismilar groups under
ISO too.
... One use case is assisted living.
... My feeling is that these groups work in isolation from each
other though.
JS: Yes.
... There are accessibility, security and privacy questions
that relate to WoT.
GZ: I had the feeling there was little interest in working with us, from the WoT WG.
JS: We'll let the RQTF follow up on this for now.
<janina> TV Remote Control: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-apa-admin/2017Mar/0003.html
JS: Two CFCs open at the moment.
<janina> Web Payments CG: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-apa-admin/2017Mar/0002.html
JS: The TV Control CFC is based
on an amendment to the last CFC.
... When you talk about remote control, one expectation is that
volume can be controlled.
... But this is being handled through a separate API
apparently.
JS: We have a number of
sub-teams, including one on web payments.
... Through WAI IG more (non-member) participants have been
identified.
... Leading to the cration of a CG.
... To develop a payments usability requirements document.
Ted, for the CSS TF is there anything we can do?
scribe: Can you give us an update next week?
TD: Yes, that works for me.
JS: Expect an update on RQTF from
Jason next week too.
... They're revisiting the CAPTCHA doc we published a while
ago.
TD: Google just announced its new evolution of CAPTCHA.
<tdrake> https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/invisible.html
MC: There may be privacy concerns with the new Google approach.
TD: My understanding is that around 40% of people will still be sent through to a puzzle.
JS: RQTF is aware of this though.

LW: Did we review the Screen
Orientation API?
... I had a note that we did but cant find trace of the place
we said so.
JS: Think we had concerns about locking orientation.
JF: We don't want that ability.
ED: Native apps have this ability.
JF: Yes, the user might want to, but do we want authors to?
JS: This wasn't a user override.
LW: It's a JS API that enables
authors to lock orientation.
... Think this is author guidance because the API could be used
either way.
... to give the user control or to enable author control of
orientation.
JF: There is a proposed SC in
WCAG 2.1.
... SC2.6.2 Level AA.
JS: Ok, guess we dont need anything here.
<JF> Proposed: https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/#orientation
<JF> Content is not locked to a specific orientation, and functionality of the content is operable in all orientations, except where orientation is essential for use of the content.
JS: we should mention this in the wiki.
