Please review Evaluation Introduction. This question is specifically on Video 1: Evaluation Overview. Questions to consider:

Laura Keen | I agree with the objects and outline. For style and visuals I think a combination of a talking head or presenter and animations will be needed to quickly introduce evaluation tools. |
Eric Eggert | |
Daniel Montalvo | Maybe elaborating a little bit on some specific checks everyone can do, just as an introductory bit for what may come later will whet the audience's appetite. |
Robert Jolly | * Do you agree with the objectives listed? - Yes * Do you have suggestions for the outline? - Outline looks good to me. * Do you have ideas for style and visuals? (eg. animations? presenter/moderator? talking head? studio? visual effects?) - This is where folks might have strong, differing opinions. Whatever the style/visual approach used, I would want all of the videos to share the same creative/art direction. For this particular video, a presenter in a studio that talks with slides, screenshots, or cutaways to other illustrative vignettes within the video would seem appropriate. This Lynda video is a relatively good example of what that approach might look like: https://www.lynda.com/Sketch-tutorials/Welcome/624357/671369-4.html |

Laura Keen | I agree with the objects and outline. For style and visuals I think a combination of either talking head or presenter/moderator and animations will be necessary to illustrate/introduce evaluation tools as well as walking through easy checks. |
Eric Eggert | |
Daniel Montalvo | I agree with how this video 1b has been designed. |
Robert Jolly | Objectives and outline both look good. I like the emphasis on and encouragement to just getting started. Clearing that hurdle is the way to help people overcome the fear of how comprehensive a full evaluation is which may prevent them from starting on anything at all. |
Shawn Lawton Henry | Major comment: Consider broadening the scope of this video significantly to cover the concepts behind most of the checks. My current feeling is that would help significantly and if we don't include details (like what buttons to click), then it will not get outdated. Laura Keen | I agree with the objects and outline. For style and visuals I think a combination of all 3, talking head, presenter/moderator and animations may be necessary to educate the audience on comprehensive evaluation process and WCAG resources. |
Eric Eggert | |
Daniel Montalvo | I agree with how this video 1c has been designed. |
Robert Jolly | Objectives and outline both look good. This one may be more challenging to keep to principles unless these don't involve specific examples of evaluation techniques. |
Shawn Lawton Henry | Major comment: Suggest making a separate video on tools. Other comments in https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/wai-eo-editors/2019May/0019.html |

Chris O'Brien | |
Laura Keen | I agree with the objects and outline. For style and visuals I think a combination of talking head and animations may be necessary to discuss the topic and highlighting the WAI resource. |
Eric Eggert | |
Daniel Montalvo | I would add a specific bullet point to invite people to check the resource itself. Since we reached an agreement in EOWG meeting that the 24 points cannot be mentioned in the video, there is the risk that people having access only to the video will miss out important bits of this resource. |
Robert Jolly | Objectives and outline both look good overall. I might add some emphasis or clarity on the understanding of team roles as they relate to accessibility. Perhaps that is the intent of "Explain that accessibility needs to be embedded throughout." |

Laura Keen | I agree with the objectives and outline. I think presenter/moderator works for style and visuals. |
Eric Eggert | |
Daniel Montalvo | I agree with how video 3 has been designed. |
Robert Jolly | Objectives are good. Conciseness with this video is probably going to be key. Any catchy phrases or bold statements should have some connection to supporting material on the site (doesn't need to extend the video). |

Please review Contacting Organizations. Questions to consider:

Chris O'Brien | I'm not sure I agree with the need for a video on contacting organizations. I feel the resources could be used on more important videos |
Laura Keen | I agree with the objectives and outline. I think talking head will work best for this content. |
Eric Eggert | |
Daniel Montalvo | I agree with how video 4 has been designed. |
Robert Jolly | All good on this one. I appreciate the approach to counter some of the more divisive/negative approaches we hear about currently. |

Please review Accessibility Statements. Questions to consider:

Laura Keen | I agree with the objectives and outline. I think presenter/moderator style could work well for this video. Some animations may be needed to introduce the accessibility statement generator. |
Eric Eggert | |
Daniel Montalvo | I agree with how video 5 has been designed. |
Robert Jolly | This is great. I wonder if we should directly address any objections (e.g. fear of legal risk) to creating accessibility statements or should we stay 100% positive? |
Shawn Lawton Henry | (forgot to print/download this one for the airplane. sorry) |
Given the current video outlines, how would you rate their relative priority? This could include considerations such as how relevant and current is the topic, how much effort would it potentially take away from other priorities, and the impact it would have on the community. For each video, please rate your assessment, with 1 being lowest (not high-priority at this time) and 5 being highest (we desperately need this). Please provide rationale for your choices, and other thoughts you may have. (You can assign the same level of priority to multiple videos if you want)

Laura Keen | 5 | 4 | 3 | 3 | 5 | I placed evaluation introduction and accessibility statements at the top because I felt they provide audiences a good way to get started incorporating accessibility in their organizations. I also think that accessibility advocates can share these videos easily. There are still so many developers and organizations that need exposure to these resources. |
Eric Eggert | No opinion | No opinion | No opinion | No opinion | No opinion | |
Daniel Montalvo | 5 | 3 | 4 | 2 | 2 | I think evaluation resources are always welcomed since they help to be aware of the issues and this somehow make repairs more tangible and plausible. The business case ofr accessibility is essential as well, since this is how many new actors might come in and commit themselves to accessibility work. |
Robert Jolly | 4 | 3 | 5 | 1 | 2 | I feel that getting people in leadership roles to embrace and promote accessibility is most needed and could be the most impactful piece. |
Shawn Lawton Henry | 5 | 1 | 3 | 4 | 2 | Ratings are from my specific perspective and I am happy to defer to others with different perspectives. Some thoughts: * Evaluation Introduction – These apply to nearly everyone, since includes the Easy Checks. * Contacting Organizations – I have heard from several people within organizations that they appreciate getting feedback because it helps support their case. Also, given current climate, I think this could be a very important video to help the overall field of accessibility advocacy. * Business Case – I think a catchy video on this (possibly not called "business case", but something broader along the lines of: The Broad Benefits of Accessibility to Everyone) is something that would be viewed and shared widely, including in presentations. * Accessibility Statements – Not sure this content really needs a video. * Planning and Managing – Seems like target audience less likely to watch video and less likely to need it in order to get into resource. |
Feel free to provide any further thoughts, reactions, and comments on any of these video suggestions.

Shawn Lawton Henry | https://www.w3.org/WAI/EO/wiki/Video-Based_Resources: "The objective of this effort is to create a series of video-based WAI resources, similar to the Web Accessibility Perspectives videos." Aren't these supposed to be more training related? … ah, I see "must be related to training" later in Considerations. I think important to include it in the simple objective . Also, reconsider "similar to Perspectives" because those have different objectives than these, afaik. --- To requirements for all videos, I think we want to add: • Consider description when planning videos. Where feasible, do integrated description so don't need separate AD versions. • Design videos so any screen grabs of resources can be easily replaced later on. Get source files as needed to support this (e.g., might want background audio file separate). |
