Media Accessibility User Requirements Working Draft Updated

The Protocols and Formats Working Group (PFWG) today published an updated Working Draft of Media Accessibility User Requirements, a planned W3C Working Group Note. This document describes the accessibility requirements of people with disabilities with respect to audio and video on the Web, particularly in the context of HTML5. It explains alternative content technologies that people use to get audio and video content, and how these fit in the larger picture of accessibility, both technically within a web user agent and from a production process point of view. Standards for Web Applications on Mobile: current state and roadmap

Thumbnail of application platform diagram that appears in the report W3C has published the July 2014 edition of Standards for Web Applications on Mobile, an overview of the various technologies developed in W3C that increase the capabilities of Web applications, and how they apply more specifically to the mobile context.

A deliverable of the HTML5Apps project, this edition of the document includes changes and additions since April 2014, notably a new section covers the emerging field of integrated payments on the Web, following recent work started by W3C in this space.
