The W3C announced the launch of a new community group on Big Data, which seems to me would naturally have a fair amount of overlap with HPC concerns. It seems worth connecting with them. Their site is at http://www.w3.org/community/bigdata/.

We are planning a teleconference on March 7 at 11:00 am PST to show each other what we’ve been working on and summarize progress. I will post call-in info closer to the date.
