Request for comment: DTCG decision-making framework

With some new and exciting updates coming to the spec, we’re hoping to also update our working processes to enable more transparency, more efficient collaboration, and clearer paths to get involved.

To that end, we’ve drafted a decision-making framework that defines the roles and responsibilities of Contributor, Editor, Module Lead, and Chair, and outlines a lightweight framework for making additions and changes to the spec.

Comments and feedback are welcome via Google Docs.

We’ll work to respond to and incorporate feedback and suggestions as they come in. Current editors will review and attempt to ratify the proposal at the next editors’ meeting on November 13, 2025.
