New Name: Content Blocking Community Group

Based on discussions with existing members, we decided that just leaving the scope to ad blocking might not be enough – and we might have opinions on content blocking in general – this includes web technologies being used for ad blocking, anti-tracking, accessibility and more.

One thing to note: Due to the previous name, the shortname for this group was ‘abcg’. Changing the shortname would require way more administrative and engineering hassle, so the shortname for this group would remain as ‘abcg’ and as such, the URL for this community group would remain https://www.w3.org/community/abcg/. The mailing list name would remain the same too. But for all other purposes, we can now be referred to as the Content Blocking Community Group!

We would be shortly updating our charter to reflect this. Thanks everyone for the feedback in this process.
