Shawn Lawton Henry I put comments in GitHub. I'm OK with all but one.
<http://w3c.github.io/wai-quick-start/developing.html#reflect-the-reading-order-in-the-code-order> Per Kevin's request, I added GitHub issue: <https://github.com/w3c/wai-quick-start/issues/182>
Anna Belle Leiserson I put comments in GitHub. Very minor comment.
Melody Ma I put comments in GitHub.
James Green I put comments below. 3. This is very minor, but I personally prefer a light colored "dot" as it has a higher contrast ratio. White looks good to me, pink #FFC5C6 and gray #d3d3d3 would both bring it up to 4.51.

7. maybe we're not to that stage in coding yet and not sure if we care about this as part of editing content, but using voiceover, after reading to the bottom of the modal, focus moved to the page behind the modal.

3. Developing Tips - CAPTCHA

Discussion of the CAPTCHA tip is available in:

Andrew Arch I approve of how the issue has been addressed and have no significant concerns (other than minor wordsmithing). Just checking that we want to say "Providing more than two modalities"?While WCAG 2.0 says "alternative forms", G144 only says "another"form - maybe we want to lodge a request with the WG to amend that.
Eric Eggert I approve of how the issue has been addressed and have no significant concerns (other than minor wordsmithing). I would write “two ways to solve the CAPTCHA” instead “two modalities”, the latter is too jargon-y.
Sharron Rush I approve of how the issue has been addressed and have no significant concerns (other than minor wordsmithing).
Vicki Menezes Miller I approve of how the issue has been addressed and have no significant concerns (other than minor wordsmithing).

Eric Eggert I have reviewed the issue and added my comments in the wiki.
Sharron Rush I have reviewed the issue and added my comments in the wiki. As noted in the wiki, I prefer one word to a phrase. 'Background' is fine to me or Overview since they are broad conventional terms.
Vicki Menezes Miller I have reviewed the issue and I have no comments to add; I'll go with the decision of the Group.
Kevin White I have reviewed the issue and added my comments in the wiki. Requirements explained [Document author]

Responder Tips - Design of ExamplesPreferred Alternative(s)
Lydia Harkey I have reviewed the alternatives and added my comments in the wiki. Preferred alternative #1.
George Heake
Brent Bakken I have reviewed the alternatives and added my comments in the wiki. I strongly like the Alternative 4 best.
David Berman I have reviewed the alternatives and I have no comments to add; I'll go with the decision of the Group.
Shadi Abou-Zahra Not sure how/where to comment in the wiki. I strongly vote for #4. I think several of the options have the same problem of over-using the word "example" - this limits the variety quite considerably because some may be acceptable with some tweaks.
Jonathan Metz I have reviewed the alternatives and I have no comments to add; I'll go with the decision of the Group.
Andrew Arch I have not gotten to this yet, and will do it by: [put in the Comment field the date by which you will get to it] next few days
Eric Eggert I have reviewed the alternatives and added my comments in the wiki. I think that those particular examples are more like two examples with two states (before/after) each. That’s why I like Approach 4. Also the example title is directly in the heading.
Sharron Rush I have reviewed the alternatives and I have no comments to add; I'll go with the decision of the Group.
Vicki Menezes Miller I have reviewed the alternatives and I have no comments to add; I'll go with the decision of the Group. Prefer alternative No. 2
Kevin White I have reviewed the alternatives and added my comments in the wiki. First one with possible rework of the title label. This connects with Easy Checks, is clean, avoids being blocky, and does not jump out at you and try to assault your eyes. [Document author]
Shawn Lawton Henry I have reviewed the alternatives and added my comments in the wiki. Prefer #2 - because most simple visually with examples on one background.
(Could live with #1 with minor tweaks)
(Strongly not like existing, 3, 4, 5 - because way too visually cluttered.)
Anna Belle Leiserson I'm not going to be able to get to this, I will pass on commenting on it, and go with the decision of the Group
Melody Ma I have reviewed the alternatives and added my comments in the wiki.
James Green I have reviewed the alternatives and added my comments in the wiki. I prefer alternative 4, with the following observation:i like the subheadings here, but feel that it still doesn't solve the original problem. i think i would prefer this if you just extended the gray boxes up to include the caption and made the captions bold

6. Tips on Writing for Web Accessibility - Thorough Review

Please read carefully and thoroughly the Tips on Writing for Web Accessibility. This is our last review before final approval for publication.

Note related to the "Keep content clear and concise" tip:

  • The last bullet was edited based on input during and after the 21 August telecon, and there is an open GitHub issue 180 if you want to comment on it.
  • The example is being updated, and we'll ask for review of that example later.
With those exceptions, please post any additional comments as a new GitHub issue. (If you're not comfortable with GitHub, please put comments in this survey.)

Also, if you raise a new issue, please indicate if your feelings about it are mild or strong.

Responder Tips on Writing for Web Accessibility - Thorough ReviewComments
Lydia Harkey I reviewed it thoroughly and put my comments in GitHub.
George Heake I reviewed it thoroughly and put my comments below. I just read for the 3rd time in two days. I come it with the same result. It is concise, understandable to a wide audience, very easy to read and a great flow to how it is presented. And in a short amount of time, the reader should have the basics of Writing for Web Accessibility. And what I think an important part of getting this information across to people are the examples, they really add a lot of value to this piece. Instead of creating more mystery about accessibility I feel as though this leaves the reader with " hey I understand this and I can do this...(Accessible writing)

Melody Ma I reviewed it thoroughly and put my comments below. Good job! Very clear and concise.
James Green I reviewed it thoroughly and put my comments below. first link takes you to the About WCAG aside. This would work for a screenreader user, but was confusing as a sighted user. The page scrolled a bit and that was it. I expected a link to some other page.

Note: using voiceover, after reading to the bottom of the modal, focus moved to the page behind the modal.
