1. ADMIN

Erik: only 3 of us, but let's close some actions

    <doublec> I'm here on IRC

    <scribe> Scribe: Raphael

    <scribe> Scribenick: raphael

PROPOSED to accept the minutes of the last telecon:

      [11] http://www.w3.org/2011/12/14-mediafrag-minutes.html

    <dvdeurse> +1

Erik: we are not that many

    +1

    <erik> +1

    <doublec> +1

    Erik: no objection, minutes approved

2. SPEC

    ACTION-249?

<trackbot> ACTION-249 -- Raphaël Troncy to tidy up the spec before
    December 24th -- due 2011-12-14 -- OPEN

    <trackbot>
    [12]http://www.w3.org/2008/WebVideo/Fragments/tracker/actions/249

      [12] http://www.w3.org/2008/WebVideo/Fragments/tracker/actions/249

Raphael: I will have tidy up the document before next week telecon

    Erik: 2 new email threads
    ... 1/ rounding spatial fragments

    <dvdeurse>
    [13]http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-media-fragment/2011De
    c/0015.html

      [13]
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-media-fragment/2011Dec/0015.html

Raphael: is there some concrete text proposal to replace?

<dvdeurse> we could add it here:
    [14]http://www.w3.org/2008/WebVideo/Fragments/WD-media-fragments-spe
    c/#valid-uri-spatial

      [14]
http://www.w3.org/2008/WebVideo/Fragments/WD-media-fragments-spec/#valid-uri-spatial

Raphael: section 6.1.2 seems indeed the right place to clarify how
    rounding should occur
... we need a concrete text suggestion to put here

Erik: should we ask Silvia / Philip ?

    <silvia> what rounding?

<silvia> ah I guess these values have to be integers:
    a/w*100,b/h*100,c/w*100,d/h*100

Silvia, we are talking about the thread of Philip,
    [15]http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-media-fragment/2011De
    c/0015.html

      [15]
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-media-fragment/2011Dec/0015.html

<silvia> foolip suggested rounding outwards, and I agree

<silvia> raphael, I was talking about that, too, and in the place
that dvdeurse suggested, which I agree with

    <silvia> so it should be: floor(a/w*100), floor(b/h*100),
    ceil(c/w*100), ceil(d/h*100)

Erik: I will email Philip to ask him for a concrete text proposal to
    go into section 6.1.2

Raphael: yes Silvia, but we need some text to explain the issue to
the reader, we cannot put just this sentence

<silvia> no, we can just replace what's there with these values

Erik: other issue, BNF-syntax on wall-clock, see
    [16]http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-media-fragment/2011De
    c/0000.html

      [16]
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-media-fragment/2011Dec/0000.html

    <silvia> xywh=percent:a,b,c,d with a+c <= 100, b+d <= 100: the UA
displays a spatial fragment with coordinates (in pixel xywh format)
    a/w*100,b/h*100,c/w*100,d/h*100 (the normal percent case).

    <silvia> ^ it's in this text line

    ok, thanks Silvia !

    <erik> agree with Silvia :)

<scribe> ACTION: Raphael to change in section 6.1.2 the last valid

Raphael: add a sentence or a ref somewhere?

Davy: ok I will do that

<trackbot> ACTION-245 Clarify whether Dailymotion will provide an
    implementation or not closed

Raphael: we will not get an implementation report on time regarding
    Dailymotion implementation
... but we will follow up this important implementation for the
    showcase portal

<silvia> why does Dailymotion's implementation count?

<silvia> they are not even using the same syntax

    Raphael: it does not Silvia

    <silvia> ok, cool

Raphael: I think you haven't followed the thread ...

<silvia> because otherwise YouTube might have counted, too

Raphael: they will change the syntax to be compliant

<silvia> just saying that right now they are not

Raphael: if YouTube changes its syntax, and passes the test cases,
    they will count :-)
... this is what we are saying
... announcement, Noterik in NL is also implementing Media Fragments
URI ... a first product available in Feb 2012
