User feedback sessions Monday & Tuesday

On Monday and Tuesday, EO participants are encouraged to spend time in the WAI outreach room to ask conference attendees about WAI resources and do user feedback sessions (aka informal usability testing). For tips on what to say and ideas on what to look for, see the more detailed 2015 user feedback planning page.

Web site redesign workshop. WAI site plans

  • 30 minutes: summarize goal suggestions into three buckets:
    1. One primary goal
    2. Some secondary goals
    3. Long term goals (if needed)

    Note that goals must be measurable

  • 15 minutes: audiences
    Review previous work and personas, determine 3 audiences, plus secondary ones if needed.
  • 30 minute discussion of gathering data / usability / analytics
    Agree on a method for doing this

  • 45 minutes Visual design
    AnnaBelle presents simplistic overview of visual design approach and walks us through where we are now, find adjectives for what we want to convey, how would that be visually conveyed?
