It is possible to specify default language metadata for columns, but not for tables, rows or cells. It wasn't clear to me why.
A language declaration at the table level could serve as a default for all contained columns - saving some effort.
A language declaration on a cell could override the language declaration for a column, where needed. - Related Actions Items:
