Registration fee waiver
For W3C Invited Experts
The TPAC 2025 participation fees will be waived for all W3C
Invited Experts. You will not be asked to pay for the fees once you
complete the TPAC registration form.
For all other TPAC attendees
We understand that not everyone can afford the TPAC registration fee
for a variety of reasons and we do not want any of these to be a
barrier to participation.
On-site participation fee waiver
There are a limited number of fee waivers available for on-site
participants, at the discretion of the organizers. The fee waiver
operates on a trust basis. Please do not use this option if you can
afford the fee.
Remote participation fee waiver
We make an unlimited number of fee waivers available to remote
participants. The fee waiver operates on a trust basis. Please do not
use this option if you can afford the fee.
Please contact w3t-tpregister@w3.org
to request the fee waiver before filling in the registration
form.

The TPAC Inclusion Fund and the W3C Invited Experts
Support Fund aim to help reduce barriers for W3C
participants or for W3C Invited Experts who have shown
commitment through their positive contributions to the work of W3C
group(s), but who require support to contribute in a more meaningful
way at TPAC.
Examples of contributing in a meaningful way may include:
- organizing a breakout session or contributing to the TPAC program
- writing specifications, documentation or tests
- preparing documents such as explainers or drafts for discussion
- reviewing a group’s work and preparing comments for discussion
We will prioritize support of under-represented groups in order to
improve diversity of background, gender, experiences, expertise and
skills. Applications from participants from the following groups will
be prioritized:
- Individuals who work from low- and middle-income economies
- Individuals who represent small organizations or organizations
from stakeholder groups or industries not widely represented in the
W3C community
- Women and gender-diverse individuals
- Individuals living with a disability

Acceptable expenses
Examples of what the funds might help cover:
- TPAC registration cost
- Travel to attend TPAC meetings in the most economic, direct and
safe route, booked in advance to secure more economical rates
- Accommodation booked in advance, and within any deadlines
provided by the venue to secure the less expensive rate
- Costs of travel and shared accommodation for an additional adult
to attend in the role of carer, without whom participation would
be impossible
- Cost of insurance policy issued specifically for the travel
dates, covering travel and medical expenses.
Note: if the
selected participant has a current annual/employer travel
insurance policy, W3C will not cover the cost but a copy of the
policy should be presented as a requirement to be reimbursed
- Connectivity expenses to attend meetings remotely
