Quick Items

WoT Event in Beijing

Sebastian: was attending an event on WoT in Beijing
… hosted by Siemens and supported by the W3C China Team
… maybe it would be helpful if we could translate our standards into Chinese

McCool: would explore AI translation :)

Koster: yeah, translation is a big task

McCool: we can mark it as "AI-Translated" explicitly

Koster: ok

Kaz: if you visit the W3C Translations page, you can find some of the translated specs

Ege: seems there is some for Chinese as well

<Ege> https://blog.liuxing3169.cn/wot-architecture/publication/rec/index.html

Ege: there are PRs for the TD draft publications

<kaz> TD PR 2140 - TD 2.0 FPWD Publication

Kaz: propose not apply the changes after the approaval, I suggest to include an editorial note instead

Ege: Would also ok for

Koster: Do we need a new resolution?

Ege: I dont think so
… I will reuse the existing PRs

Kaz: we will need one

<kaz> proposal: the WoT WG would like to reuse TD PR 2140 to remove the normative changes and add an editorial note to remove the extra normative text later instead

<sebastian> +1

RESOLUTION: the WoT WG would like to reuse TD PR 2140 to remove the normative changes and add an editorial note to remove the extra normative text later instead

Koster: other quick items?

Notices

<benfrancis> w3c/wot-profile#447

Ben: Profile will be published as new Working Draft
… PR is available
… any action needed for the publication?

Kaz: I will take care of it

Ben: how about Michael McCool and its membership?

Kaz: since yesterday Michael McCool is active member again, as IE

<kaz> Profile PR 447 - Generate static HTML for Working Draft publication

Kaz: lets merge this PR

<MK is merging>

<kaz> Overview.html

Kaz: we may update Matsukura-san status in the editorial list

Ben: how about the status of Michael McCool?

Kaz: we can keep this, I will take care of it later

David: in the majority time, Michael was with Intel. So its make sense to keep Intel mentioning

Ben: just was checking since the W3C says that people needs to be member when publication

<kaz> WoT Architecture Editor's Draft

Ben: McCool is member again, so everything should be ok

ACTION: kaz to move McCool and Matsukura-san to "Former editors" section with their former affiliations

Kaz: at the time of publication Michael is not with Intel. Need to be checked

Ege: everything is merged for binding and TD. Kaz you will take then the next actions for publication?

Kaz: Yes, I think so

<Zakim> dape, you wanted to minor note, see https://w3c.github.io/wot-profile/publication/3-wd/Overview.html#out-of-the-box-interoperability-semantic-interop

Kaz: I do my best to do so by end of this week

DP: Found a typo in the Profile, how to handle this?

Kaz: it is ok to provide a PR to fix this
… please note there should be 2: one for the main branch and for the static version

Use Case planning

Koster: Plan is to publish the Use Case note today

McCool: we made the final changes this morning
… I do a formal call to invite people to review. Review time is planned for 4 weeks
… publication should take place during the TPAC in November

<kaz> UC PR 387 - Update Abstract and Intro

Kaz: tx for your hard work! btw, please note that given the call for review for this PR 387 was made during the main call, check the results and merging the PR should have been also done during the main call.

McCool: there were no comments provided, so we decided to merge before the main call

McCool: I'd like to do a call for resolution for publication now
… everything is updated

<mjk> Use Cases & Requirements Note Editor's Note

Koster: any more questions on the use case document?

no

TPAC 2025 Planning

Draft Agenda for the WoT F2F at TPAC 2025

Sebastian: very draft agenda
… would suggest we end the meeting at 16:45 for Thursday
… (goes through the draft agenda)
… reports from joint meetings following the Plugfest report

… and WG Charter discussion
… lunch
… and TD, break and then Scripting API
… then 2nd day, Friday
… starting with Liaisons
… break and Use Cases
… lunch and then Profile
… break and joint meeting with the WoT CG
… 2nd day ends at 18:00

McCool: wondering about the Use Cases session

Sebastian: maybe Tomoaki can handle the session?

McCool: 2 issues, one about the document and two about the process
… the document should be ok, though

Ben: due to the time commitment, might be difficult to join the meeting on Friday

Sebastian: thought 13:45 would be OK
… let's see what/when would be feasible

Ben: tx
