McCool: any objections?
none
RESOLUTION: merge PR https://
wot-usecases PR 363 - Remove functional req, technical req, and liaisons sections
McCool: this PR removes various problems
(see "5.2 Functional Requirements", etc., to be removed)
Kaz: sometimes we once move that kind of content to the appendix
… do we really want to simply remove them this time?
McCool: might be interesting from historical viewpoints
… but would be rather confusing
Kaz: if it's just confusing, we can remove it
Kaz: but if that by chance have some meaning, we can add a reference
<McCool> proposal: merge PR https://
McCool: any objections?
RESOLUTION: merge PR https://
none
Sebastian: tx, McCool!
… any other topics for quick updates?
none
TPAC 2025
Sebastian: TPAC is approaching
… we have a dedicated wiki for our planning
Sebastian: would have good number of participants
… but currently just several people are registered
… if you're not 100% sure, please put your information with "% Attend" possibility
… regarding the dates
… as we agreed last week, we'd go for Thursday and Friay
… each TF Lead should add topics to the "Topics" section
(Sebastian has put several possible topics already)
Sebastian: should think about remote participation as well
… for example, TD topics to be held in the afternoon
… so would see who'll join the meeting remotely
… joint meetings should be also identified
… so far, we have JSON-LD, Spatial Data, Smat Cities, DID, APA, Security and Privacy
… need to schedule Breakouts too
… this time 10 breakouts in parallel for each time slot during TPAC 2025
… 9 one-hour slots during the TPAC week as follows
Monday: 1 one-hour slot at 17:00-18:00 Tuesday: 1 one-hour slot at 08:30-09:30 Wednesday: 6 one-hour slots at 08:30-18:30 Thursday: 1 one-hour slot at 17:00-18:00
Sebastian: also we'd organize our Plugfest
… Plugfest is expected to start on Saturday
… we'd use a hotel room for that purpose
… any questions?
Kaz: please add your name to the Plugfest section of the wiki also :)
Sebastian: right :)
Kaz: I've already started to talk with Naomi as the local event manager about the logistics
Charter
Sebastian: the end of the WoT WG Charter is Oct 2 this year
… we need to extend our working period by extension and/or rechartering
<EgeKorkan> +1
Sebastian: would confirm we'd go for 3-mo extension for the rechartering procedure
McCool: my question is if 3-mo is ok for that purpose
Kaz: we still have 3 months till the end of the Charter
WIP: [wg/wot] Web of Things Working Group rechartering
Kaz: I've already created a placeholder discussion on the Strategy repo
… the point here is we should start the Charter discussion right away
… if we're lucky enough, we can finalize the Charter by the end of Sep
… but maybe AC Review would take long
… at that time in Sep, we need a 3-mo extension to wrap-up the rechartering procedure
<sebastian> proposal: The group decided to work on a new charter and may request an 3 month extension in August to complete the chartering work.
Kaz: maybe would be better to say September here :)
RESOLUTION: The group decided to work on a new charter and may request an 3 month extension in August/September to complete the chartering work.
