… Sebastian is not available but Ege will chair the Plugfest call today

IEs

McCool: Kaz, please send a reminder to the applicant today

Kaz: ok
… btw, Charith has just joined this call
… we should ask him to become an IE for the WG as well

McCool: yeah
… (to Charith) this is a joint call of the WoT WG and the WoT IG

Kaz: I'll send a separate message to you to explain the detail, Charith

Charith: ok
… would like to get the meeting invites

Kaz: for that purpose, you need to join the WG/IG officially

McCool: please use "q+" command to let us know you want to say something
… if you want, you can join the Plugfest call right after this call too

Ege: no

Mizushima: planning some event

Smart Cities

Kaz: will send a reminder including doodle poll to identify a good slot for the IG's monthly call today

Cloud-Edge-Client CG

McCool: we have 5 supporters

proposed Charter

McCool: smart city is a big use case for that too

Liaisons

ECHONET

McCool: planning to join the Plugfest in 2 weeks like Conexxus

Conexxus

McCool: also join the Plugfest

OPC

McCool: last meeting on Nov 5
… next one on Nov 19
… may be cancelled due to the Plugfest
… need to talk with Sebastian if you want join the meeting

ETSI

McCool: we discussed the PR we approved last time

PR 1209 - Activate Liaison for ETSI ISG CIM for NGSI-LD

McCool: got a comment from Ege and Ted

Nov-11 minutes

McCool: we are identifying the scope and deliverables
… would keep the PR itself open
… (skims the PR)
… Ted suggests small changes
… the point is that it's still open for discussion
… discussion around deliverables documents on the W3C side and the ETSI side

Kaz: given the discussion during the liaison call, I think we need some more iterations
… so it would be better to once revert this PR itself and keep the draft document under the proposal directory
… and make PRs for that draft document

McCool: that's possible
… can revert it to the proposal area
… will work till Friday
… would keep the PR itself open for a while
… but will redirect it to the "proposals" directory until we have consensus.
… need to clarify the agenda for the next meeting
… 30min presentation from the ETSI side during the WoT Week on Nov 25

Kaz: given some of them are located in Munich, maybe we can have some more detailed discussion about their expectation during WoT Week also
… kind of brainstorming

McCool: yeah
… basic explanation and brainstorming
… would be related to smart city topics

Ege: don't think it would be really related to Binding but may be able to be handled by Profile

McCool: maybe...

Ege: anyway more discussion is needed to clarify their ideas

McCool: there is some particular convention for NGSI-LD
… which would consume TD
… some confusion so far about what would be the expected input/output

Kaz: agree we need some more discussion to clarify their expectation

McCool: Luca, how do you feel from the Profile viewpoint?
… can you join the liaison call on Monday

Luca: my time is limited for the next month...
… one of the problems is Profile's making small progress
… we don't have enough people
… first, we need to clarify what to be done by Profile
… there is agreement on having a possible registry but no agreement on which profiles enter the registry?

McCool: how we should logistically connect things with what we already have?
… need to happen before getting more complications

Nephele project

Mahda: there is one project, Nephele
… trying to map WoT TD with NGSI-LD
… think I can make contribution

<mahda> Nephele

Kaz: next meeting will be Dec 9. right?

McCool: yeah

Schedule

McCool: nothing new

meeting schedule

McCool: calls cancelled the week of Nov 25 due to WoT Week
… will update the W3C Calendar

F2F

McCool: Sebastian is not here
… but there is a dedicated wiki

WoT Week wiki

Kaz: participants list at the bottom of the wiki

McCool: if you're a WG/IG participant, you can join the F2F part also
… if you're a CG participant, need to be invited
… think Sebastian is organizing the participation

Ege: organizing the guest for Plugfest

McCool: for the F2F part, we're working on our standards
… regarding the liaison update slot, we'll have reports from the liaison organizations
… feel free to add new topic proposals for the agenda
… we're getting sure about the Thursday agenda
… but still not sure about the Friday agenda

Kaz: probably, Siemens should have an actual number of participants for each day
… so would be appreciated if it's shared with the WoT Chairs
… will send a reminder to team-wot list to ask Sebastian also

TF Leads

McCool: still need champions for several TFs
… Security, Discovery, Architecture and Testing
… regarding Use Cases, I'm acting as a second moderator
… had discussion today too
… will have discussion during the TD Slot 2 call tomorrow
… still have 10 open PRs on the wot-thing-description repo
… what about the Scripting call?

Kaz: cancelled due to lack of participation

[main call adjourned; Plugfest call starts at the top of the hour]
