Smart Cities IG

Kaz: I am collecting additional participants. We will send a doodle poll to find a suitable slot for monthly meeting

McCool: I need AC rep approval

Cloud-Edge-Client CG

McCool: we are working on the charter. It is an "in-progress" CG

Liaisons

OPC UA

McCool: they share the JSON Schema for security configurations. We will see if we can adapt
… Security was the main topic of discussion
… the conclusion was that the metadata in the TD should be as close as possible to the OPC UA specs metadata
… we need to separate the protocol specific securities
… so that we do not need to publish a new REC

Kaz: when will the security discussions take place? Maybe Charith?

McCool: he is not an expert but did security. I think he should contribute to some specs first, then we can give him specific responsibility

Kaz: so it can be done in the TD call?

McCool: yes, I have told him to join the TD call

Sebastian: OPC UA people will join the plugfest discussion as well
… they need information on vpn etc. as well

Kaz: should we invite them to our WoT Plugfests at some point?

McCool: it would be good. At least Erich would be there but we should agree on a list of discussion items

McCool: we should allocate at least 15-30 mins

Kaz: Please continue to talk with them :)

McCool: anything else?

ETSI

<kaz> dedicated "wot-ngsi-ld" GitHub Repository

McCool: I have a PR
… we have a wiki and a repo
… we need to figure out what resources we want to collect

<McCool> proposal: merge wot PR#1209, which activates the description of the active ETSI ISG CIM liaison.

McCool: any objections?

<kaz> PR 1209 - Activate Liaison for ETSI ISG CIM for NGSI-LD

RESOLUTION: merge wot PR#1209, which activates the description of the active ETSI ISG CIM liaison, subject to ETSI participant's approval.

Kaz: what about the content for the new "wot-ngsi-ld" repo?

McCool: we will discuss it in the call but it can be presentations etc.
… it is empty at the moment

Ege: the binding can be there. Would be a good message to show that it can be in another repo

Cancellations

<kaz> Holidays and Events

McCool: there is thanksgiving during wot week

Ege: we can celebrate it here in Munich :)

WoT Week

<kaz> WoT Week Wiki

Sebastian: let's discuss this in the next hour

McCool: we should discuss the F2F Agenda

McCool: it would be good to update the liaisons on the registry
… I guess Ege can handle this

McCool: other points?

McCool: we have Europe, US and Japan at the same time
… it will be tricky to find one

Sebastian: something in the afternoon

Ege: can you add "working with the CG" kind of slot?

McCool: it will be a new category I guess

Policies

McCool: to be discussed during the next WoT Chairs call

TF Leads

McCool: most TFs should do reorg work

McCool: regarding use cases discussion, I have joined the TD call and we spent it on the use cases

McCool: we wrote two User Stories
… also we met with Ege and reached in conclusion and we are in a basic agreement
… we wrote some simple minutes and documented in the PR in the TD repo

w3c/wot-thing-description#2053 (comment)

McCool: I don't want to have a UC&R document to be difficult to maintain

Ege: make sure to join tomorrow's TD call on this

TF Updates

TD

Ege: we made progress on the initial connection and registry requirements. We will go back to that today

Scripting

Cristiano: I have updated the calendar regarding the scripting api slot
… next meeting is on Wednesday next week

AOB

Kaz: we should reorganize the liaisons topics and links

McCool: some of them are quite stale

McCool: We also have the collaboration pages that are not maintained at all
… similarly, we have action items. It is also stale

McCool: any other business?

(none)

<kaz> [adjourned]
