janina: Adding to the standard agenda is the one-word issue and what we are going to do about the AGWG charter.

Matthew_Atkinson: There is a CFC for CSS Color Module Level 5. We don't have any a11y concerns on the substance of the document, on the presentation however.
Matthew_Atkinson: I have incorporated great feedback, among others from Fazio, into the CFC that has gone out.
Matthew_Atkinson: The CFC runs through midnight 24th August.

janina: What Alisdair proposed in the last comment on that Github thread seems to me workable.
Lionel_Wolberger: Just for context. This word is on the section of partial conformance which as anyone who works in a11y knows, it is nearly impossible to reach full conformance.

Lionel_Wolberger: We don't want to see this as fighting a battle. It is a point in the spec where we want to bring it closer to reality.
janina: I think we need to be careful here. We can nudge AGWG toward a more realistic description of what they are trying to address. I would strongly urge us to not do more in this spec.
janina: If we try to address this in WCAG 2.2 we will have a naval crisis on our hands.
janina: Nudging just a fix to this word to be more correctly descriptive, even if some of us don't like the current construct of partical confomrance, this is the one place to act right now.

Fredrik: The easiest solution is just to leave a word out, just saying nothing, since this, although it may sound a little awkward, gives room for the rest of the paragraph to breathe and explain itself.
Matthew_Atkinson: Chair hat off. My concern with "some" is that it wasn't accurate. My concern with "increasingly" is that it wasn't incorret and it doesn't really go along with the ethos of WCAG. I'm perfectly happy with supporting the taking out of the word entirely.
janina: I'm hearing us on this call wanting to drop the adjective here.
janina: Because we are rather low attendance here, we should run a CFC on this, until late next week.
janina: We'll have this logged the first week of September.

Matthew_Atkinson: This is a comment on the way it is presented. I'll take more time to look at it in detail.
Matthew_Atkinson: The 1,5 line spacing on modern W3C documents is far easier to read than this layout. Where should one file such requests?
janina: Put that on a Tuesday agenda. We can certainly raise it on the CC call 24th August.
janina: It's our turn to charter next year. After TPAC we'll start talking about our next charter.

janina: The news here is that as you may have seen on list, we had a successful CFC to publish the Maturity Model to PFWD.
janina: We're working through messaging. It hsould be in the wiki.
janina: This would b ea good support for our Getting Things Done. More patting of own backs.

Lionel_Wolberger: We are planning to get a FPWD of a registry spec before Adapt goes to its 2nd CR.
Lionel_Wolberger: We are going to draw on some resources we haven't drawn on yet. We will make sure we aren't missing any pieces on TPAC.

janina: COGA will look at the CAUR at some point.
Other Business
janina: In your TPAC stuff, there is info on using an app called ArriveCan for speeding you through customs. You will discover that the app and the web interface don't play nice with each other.
janina: To the extent that it does actually help, there is that app available on Android and iOS and the web interface.
janina: Bring paper backup of whatever you have. There willl be daily testing and mask requirements.
