APA WG Meetings at TPAC 2022

The Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group will meet at the Technical Plenary (TPAC) 2022 in Vancouver, Canada the week of 12 September 2022. See the overall meeting page for conference, hotel, and travel logistics. Registration is required.

Remote Participation

Remote participation is available via Zoom. People who can are encouraged to attend as the face to face opportunity is valuable for the work, but W3C expects many people to be unable to attend and plans to provide quality remote participation support.

  1. SAUR documents multiple research studies that give acceptable time envelopes for media synchronization.
  2. APA needs SAUR to become normative, so that other normative specs, such as WCAG 3, can normatively reference acceptable tolerances for caption synchronization, etc.
  3. APA seeks help from Timed Text to move SAUR to being a normative spec as doing so alone arguably exceeds APA's scoping remit.
