Meeting minutes

Guests and IEs

McCool: no guests

McCool: an IE request from Elodie
… Sebastian, can you explain the situation?

Sebastian: some miscommunication within Siemens
… about how to let Elodie participate

McCool: we need her expertise on Semantic Web

interoperability, so OK with accepting her participation
… for the discussion on semantic interoperability

minutes

July-20

McCool: we should change the "note" comment from Sebastian

Kaz: I just did so

Kaz: we should add a title for the WoT-CG discussion after OPC UA
… done

McCool: any objection?

no

WG extension

McCool: got W3M approval finally, and Kaz is working on the AC announcement.

Cancellations

McCool: there are no TF calls this week, also Profile & Architecture
… also joint OPC UA meeting is cancelled

McCool: the pre-TPAC plugfest is not confirmed yet

TPAC 2022

McCool: I was dealing with the DID
… for the Wednesday meeting we have planed meetings so far with Automotive and DID & VC

Kaz: the chair of Automtive WG will be in Vancouver

McCool: I will send an email to confirm the meeting

McCool: other joint calls planed?

Ege: Maybe we will plan a joint meeting between CG and Japanese CG

McCool: we can plan this joint meeting 30min before the Automitive meeting

Kaz: if we have an open day, we sould consider the conference fee costs. If external participants join only for 1h, they don't need to pay. However, we need to clarify who the invited guests would be. As I already suggested the other day, I'd repeat that it would be better to have actual "Open Day" session during our own virtual F2F meeting before TPAC given we have only 4 hours during TPAC.

<Zakim> kaz, you wanted to mention the hybrid training later and to

Kaz: I plan a breakout session for Smart City / IoT topics

McCool: I plan a meeting with Web and Networks IG

<Kaz shares its screen and shows minutes from yesterday's training meeting about the hybrid meeting at TPAC>

<kaz> Hybrid meeting tutorial

<kaz> PLH's slides

Kaz: we should share the slides beforhand and should use bigger text fonts

<kaz> <Kaz can explain the policy to the WoT participants at some point if needed.>

McCool: added the link of the slides within our TPAC wiki

McCool: Manu Sporny mentioned that JSON-LD Signature is renamed to Data Integrity

<kaz> RCH stands for "RDF Dataset Canonicalization and Hash Working Group"

Wide Review

McCool: there are some feedback from TAG
… Michael Legally and I already responded to them
… we should do some cleaning-up and restructuring in the Architecture call, however, we should make some detail plans when Michael Legally is back
… we should be clear that this is only advice and not everything must be followed

Kaz: we should plan a meeting and invite the TAG representatives to discuss about the comments

Publications

Kaz: Daniel provided a PR about the change log to the previews version. Suggest to merge

PR 1597 - Changes section WD-4

Daniel: I removed the JSON Schema and provided a link to github where to find the latest JSON Schema definition

Ege: we should add the JSON Schemas to the official W3C domain and point to it there

McCool: any objection against this PR?

Daniel: this is also a PR about the OAuth reference

McCool: going to merge both

<kaz> kaz: let's merge this PR 1597 for publication. Then, Daniel and Ege, please create another issue(s) for ReSpec error and Schema installation for the main index.html and index.template.html

<kaz> PR 1620 - ACE-OAuth replacement also merged

McCool: Discovery is ready to go for publication as well

McCool: for Architecture there is a static draft
… still waiting for a change log
… not ready yet for publication

McCool: Profile is unsure if we have CR candidate early August
… we have no test results yet

<kaz> wg-2021-extension-plan.md

<kaz> <McCool refers to the publication schedule above>

for TD we are in plan. Waiting for the result of this week TestFest. One thing is about the "tm:required" which may replaced "tm:optional". I provide a PR and discuss this next week TD meeting

Testing

McCool: Please note that we'll use the dedicated WebEx for Testfest right after this call.
… (explains the current status)

Kaz: let's start with the TD results as usual then.

<sebastian_> new doodle to identify the better slot for the OPC-UA discussion
