ConnegP

Nick: Our main work item at the moment is to just wait for the conclusion of IETF reviews of the IETF Draft. The reviews so far have recommended a slight change to the headers indicating a response's conformance to a profile and, when this is finalised, we will push the change to the ConnegP document. It doesn't sound like this change will be hard to make or particularly controversial (no change to API actions) and will likely be a simple change for API implementers too.

The suggestion is to indicate a profile conformed to in a Link header, rather than in a custom Content-Profile header.

We expect this to conclude within a couple of months at which point the ConnegP group will meet, consider the changes, any outstanding issues, and then deal with them.

PROF

Nick: A couple more implementations have been added to the Implementation Report. Of particular note is the addition of systems that use a prof:hasToken property to indicate, within pairs of Internet requests, what xsd:token may be used to indicate a prof:Profile in place of a URI.

The other implementation is the W3ID-based catalogue of profiles which is a general-purpose catalogue for anyone wishing to describe a profile and to have a fairly persistent URI assigned to it.

DCAT V3

The DCAT subgroup is addressing the issue of versioning. To assist with this a wiki page has been prepared to bring together a number of strands of information and analysis.

The DCAT subgroup needs input from the plenary on the following questions:

  • Do you agree with the desiderata?
  • Are there any vocabularies missing?
  • Are the versioning aspects in the table correct and sufficient for consideration as candidates for DCAT?
  • What is your preferred solution from the list, or do you have an alternative proposal?
