Proposed: to accept last call's minutes
0 (not here)
<riccardoAlbertoni> +1
<Caroline> +1
<annette_g> +1
Resolution: accept https://www.w3.org/2020/04/28-dxwg-minutes
Conneg and PROF
Caroline: we've discussed with Philippe, we agreed it would be good to come back to the issues
… and see how we can go from there
<Caroline> https://github.com/w3c/dx-connegp/issues
Caroline: this is why we've added the links in the agenda to the open issues
… anyone want to comment?
riccardoAlbertoni: I can't discuss about these two topics, as I've focused on DCAT
… not followed the discussion
riccardoAlbertoni: if we want to discuss specific issues, it would be great to have them specifically in the agenda
+1 but this needs to be curated by editors, I think
antoine: nick has worked on a PR for the PROF implementation report: https://github.com/w3c/dx-prof/pull/38
… I have approved it
… so there is work in progress. I understand that this is an attempt to present a first "real" version to the group.
Action: Caroline_ to reach out to Nick and Rob about organizing work
<trackbot> Created ACTION-422 - Reach out to nick and rob about organizing work [on Caroline Burle - due 2020-05-19].
DCAT
riccardoAlbertoni: we had a call 2 weeks ago
… mostly about definition of datasets
… if a software is a kind of dataset. It was a long discussion
… We have a general feeling that someone was asking for an harmonization of the definition across standards.
… We agreed that we shouldn't over-define the notion of datasets.
… Alejandra was assigned to summarize the discussion

<riccardoAlbertoni> https://github.com/w3c/dxwg/wiki/Material-for-a-SPRINT-on-Versioning
riccardoAlbertoni: This week, there's been progressed on how to model versions
… the wiki page above lists relevant vocabularies
… In the next discussion we will discuss whether we can adapt one of them.
<AndreaPerego> Nothing to add from my side.
AndreaPerego: maybe people can check the page we've prepared
… give us feedback if we've missed something
Caroline_: it would be nice to send an email to the group
<riccardoAlbertoni> ok,
<riccardoAlbertoni> I can do it
Action: riccardoAlbertoni to send an email to the group about feedback on the wiki page on versioning
<trackbot> Created ACTION-423 - Send an email to the group about feedback on the wiki page on versioning [on Riccardo Albertoni - due 2020-05-19].
riccardoAlbertoni: we are going to meet next week it would be great to have it by then
… but we're going to discuss still afterwards
… so feedback would still be ok afterwards
AndreaPerego: versioning is done in different ways across communities
… one of the issues is whether versioning should be included in the core spec or in a primer
… feedback from the group is really welcome
antoine: is Makx involved? He has a lot of experience
AndreaPerego: no, unfortunately. The sub-group calls have been attended by editors, lately.
Caroline_: would discussion by mail doable?
… could someone address Makx specifically?
riccardoAlbertoni: my plan is to figure the possible directions in the sub-group and then propose them to a wider audience.
… In the email to be sent we can specifically ask for vocabularies
… so that we're certain to have everything to make a design decision
… Makx is registered in the versioning issues in fact.
… so part of his view is registered there.
Caroline_: when we have specific talks like this maybe we could send invitations to specific meetings.
riccardoAlbertoni: yes good idea
… the wiki page is made to summarize the proposal
… at the end of the page we have 3 solutions
… if the rest of the group could help us make a step in one of the three directions it would be very useful
… But we still have to discuss the strategy for the next steps in the sub-group.
Caroline_: when is the next subgroup call?
riccardoAlbertoni: probably next week on Wednesday
… still under discussion
annette_g: I pinged Makx about AI and FAIR-related ideas
… he is working with a couple of the RDA group
… FAIR data maturity model WG
… they're leaving up to the communities how to deal with FAIR aspect of the data
… Another WG (with riccardoAlbertoni , Simon, Andrea) is working on a conceptual model
… for research datasets
… (it's an RDA group)
<AndreaPerego> https://www.rd-alliance.org/groups/research-metadata-schemas-wg
annette_g: discussing Schema.org, DCAT, DISCO, etc
… Makx said we should make the connection
riccardoAlbertoni: anyone can join the RDA work groups
… I've done it but I'm not heavily involved. Mostly following.
… I am interested mostly in versioning discussions
