Showcase Examples with Videos/Video Service Invitation

From Education & Outreach

This page contains a draft invitation to video service providers. It is intended for internal purposes only, and should not be referenced or used in any other circumstances.

Dear [Video Service Name],

We found your website and would like to invite you to work with us on realizing a series of ~10 engaging videos of about ~30-40 second duration for a good cause. Further information about what we are looking for is included below. Please contact me if you are interested in contributing your services.

About us:

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is an international non-profit organization that develops the core standards of the web. Part of it, the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), focuses on making the web accessible to people with disabilities. This includes technical standardization as well as providing educational and awareness-raising materials, such as the envisioned videos.

Task:

We seek a professional video production service to help us realize showcase example videos. These videos introduce accessibility features for people with disabilities, and how these features benefit all web users. These ~10 short videos are engaging and informative, using advertisement techniques. The purpose is to raise awareness on the relevance of web accessibility and to promote it.

Scope:

Video production services will be needed to:

  • Support the development of appropriate story boards (screen plays);
  • Support in the selection of the protagonists and filming locations;
  • Carry out the filming according to the established filming plan;
  • Prepare raw cuts of the videos for review and approval by W3C/WAI;
  • Deliver the final videos in a variety of resolutions and formats.

Schedule:

We seek completion of the requested task by end March 2016.
