- First Public Working Draft of WCAG 3.0 published. See the W3C "WCAG 3 FPWD Published" for links and info. (21 January 2021)
2020
- The name of the Silver project will be W3C Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 3.0. This name reflects both the intention to expand beyond Web Content, while maintaining the familiar name of WCAG. (March 2020)
- The Silver Task Force and Community Group met virtually for the Face to Face meeting which was originally scheduled to precede the CSUN Assistive Technology conference. March Agenda and Minutes. (10 March 2020)
- The Silver Task Force and Community Group met for a virtual face to face meeting to work on issues around conformance. May Agenda and Minutes (7 May 2020)
2019
- (10 September 2019) The W3C charter for the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AGWG) is sent to the W3C membership for a vote. This includes formal permission to begin work on Silver on W3C Recommendation Track. Preliminary work on Silver has been done as a joint effort of the Silver Community Group and the Silver Task Force of the AGWG. Deadline for member voting is 8 October 2019.
- (6 September 2019) The Silver Task Force and Community Group will be meeting at the annual W3C TPAC meeting on September 16 & 17 in Fukouka Japan. Meeting agenda and remote participation information.
- (6 June 2019) Silver Requirements (Phase 2) accepted by Accessibility Guidelines Working Group. Call for Consensus email.
- (13 March 2019) Presentation at CSUN Assistive Technology Conference on "Future of Accessibility Guidelines for Web and ICT"
- (12 March 2019) Silver Community Group met Face to Face (F2F) at the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference in Anaheim, CA.
- The Silver group presented the second phase of Silver Requirements and the Silver Status Update 1Q 2019 to the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AGWG).
- The Silver group gave a similar status presentation to the Education and Outreach Working Group and held a small group meeting with members of EOWG to work on a live example of using Plain Language for WCAG 2.1 guidance.
- The group worked on project planning and WCAG Content Migration strategy.

2018
- (7 November 2018) "Alpha" testing of the Silver Information Architecture prototype and the Silver Plain Language prototype was announced for the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group and the AG Task Forces. Email Announcement of the testing
- (27 October 2018) Slides for A11yBOS presentation (Google Slides format). It uses some of the slides of the earlier AGWG presentation, but a with more public orientation. There are extensive speaker notes on each slide. It contains links to the prototypes. It has more detail on the Conformance prototype that was worked out later during the W3C TPAC conference. The slide deck accepts comments on each slide.
- (22 October 2018) Silver presentation to Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (Google Slides) at the W3C annual conference, TPAC. It contains links to the prototypes. It is heavily W3C standards-oriented. There are few speaker notes.

- (23 March 2018) CSUN AT Conference presentation on Re-imagining Accessibility Guidelines was given by Lauriat, Spellman, and moderated by Asuncion. Lauriat and Spellman presented an overview of the Silver project, the Problem Statements addressed by the Design Sprint and a brief preliminary overview of some of the ideas and solutions from the Design Sprint. The Design Sprint Final Report is scheduled to be complete on 16 April 2018.
- (19-20 March 2018) Silver Design Sprint held at San Diego State University. The Sprint was attended by 27 prominent thought leaders across the digital accessibility field, who were asked to brainstorm and develop solutions to the 11 Problem Statements identified from the Silver research.
