- In Contrast section:
- Added "There should also be sufficient contrast between text and its background by default, so that many people can read it without changing the colors."
- Changed "Web pages should also have a minimum contrast by default: a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal-size text." to "The contrast between all text and its background is at least 4.5:1 for normal-size text."

- Significant update: added new check on Moving, Flashing, or Blinking Content
- Changed "FF Toolbar" to "WebDev Toolbar" and added: "Web Developer Toolbar for Chrome, Opera, and Firefox..." along with relevant links to the browsers and extensions.
- Diff shows several minor edits.

- It was originally one section of "Evaluating Web Sites for Accessibility" that was first published in October 2001.
