- The W3C Reference Library
- The W3C Reference Library is a general-purpose code base written
in C designed to be highly portable, modular and efficient. Due to the
high degree of modularity it can be used as the basis for all kinds of
Web applications, such as clients, servers, proxies, and robots. All
the following W3C software products are based on the Library.
- Arena: W3C's HTML3 browser
- [demo only] A general-purpose browser built on top of the
multithreaded version of the W3C
Reference Library. Arena is designed to reflect the status of the
HTML3 specifications, and currently supports tables, math, and an
experimental style sheet mechanism.
- W3C Line Mode Browser
- The Line Mode Browser is a character-based Web browser developed
for use on terminals. It is written in C and serves as an example of a
client application using the W3C Reference
Library, and as a test tool for quick access to the Web from
scripts, cron jobs etc.
- W3C Command Line Tool
- A cross platform C based command line tool for accessing the
Web. It is a simple application which shows how to use the W3C
Reference Library for building simple batch mode tools for accessing
the Web.
- W3C Mini Robot
- A cross platform C based command line tool for automatic traversal
of the Web. It is a simple application which shows how to use the W3C
Reference Library for building robots
- W3C Mini Server
- A cross platform C based server based on the W3C Reference
Library. It is a small example application showing how to implement a
server or a proxy using the W3C Reference Library.
