Quick Items

Kaz: the profile discussion will be held as a separate meeting with PLH, chairs and editors

Koster: ok thank you

TPAC

<kaz> TPAC 2025 WoT wiki

Koster: we will do more of the work when people get back

Plugfest

Koster: we have started collecting information on a separate wiki and github

<kaz> TPAC 2025 Plugfest GitHub page

Koster: should we have a call today?

Kaz: no, don't think we need a call today.

David: when should we be in Kobe for that

Kaz: we'll start the Plugfest on Sunday, so would be great you could arrive in Kobe on Saturday.

Koster: ok the call is cancelled

Breakouts

Koster: here is the information on how to create a breakout

Ege: sebastian created an issue already for the demo

Ege: we wanted to have the room for the whole day of the breakouts to have a demo in the afternoon

Kaz: no replies yet from event team

Meeting schedule

<kaz> Holidays and Cancellations

Ege: i cannot make it the td call on wednesday

Publication schedule

<kaz> WG schedule

Ege: I have made a PR for the binding templates

<kaz> PR 1238 - Binding Templates Schedule

Koster: here is the proposed schedule

Koster: Should we merge it at all?

Ege: depends on kaz and plh

Kaz: let's merge and update when we know the decision

Koster: any objections to merge?

Koster: any updates needed?

Ege: all below Binding Templates section is not up to date
… also Scripting API is not there

Koster: this is just an internal document for us to do planning

Kaz: mccool said he wants it removed

New Charter

<kaz> Draft WoT WG Charter

Koster: we are discussing basically ig and wg alignment
… we have a draft charter now

Kaz: let's skim through it
… mission and motivation is the same

(kaz) explains which deliverables are there

Kaz: timeline and document names should be updated among other stuff
… I copied the timeline from the old charter and added new line for the new charter

Koster: we should add our own policies as well. a link probably

Kaz: yes

Kaz: my question now is which way to go for the next step, (a) starting with improving the WG portions or (b) thinking about how to merge the IG work

Koster: that can change the structure

Ege: I don't agree with some parts of it. How should the discussion happen?

Kaz: you can create issues on this but we cannot change the structure

Ege: yes the structure is fine, I don't like the content where we promise too much

Koster: let's reserve a part of the agenda for it next week

Reusable Connections of the TD

Koster: that feature seems to require another document
… it is not clear

Kaz: I think it makes sense to have another deliverable for that. How to deal with it should be discussed as part of the new charter discussion

Koster: is it a runtime description

Kaz: we need to think about the relationship with and possible impact to the scripting api, etc.

Ege: I completely disagree with what is said now
… there is no dependency to scripting api and it cannot be a separate document

Koster: ok we should have more discussion on that
… and understand the dependency to the scripting api
… the discussion can be in the TD calls as well

Meetups

Koster: no updates from most CGs
… we'll invite the NGSI-LD folks to the Smart Cities IG

Liaisons

Koster: We should get an update from OPCF soon. The binding is about to be finalized

Kaz: regarding NGSI-LD liaison, some discussion about their participation in Plugfest, but they're getting more interested in the Smart Cities IG as the liaison center for digital twins standards. So we'd like to invite them to the next IG meeting in September.

Koster: for some of the rest, we should get update from Sebastian

Policies

Koster: no news so far

TF Reports

Ege: the TD, Binding Templates and the Bindings Registry will have a document freeze this Thursday
