Meeting minutes

review minutes of last call

<kaz> Dec-1

Fady: canonicalisation has been removed
… nobody complained about the current time for the PF
… we don't have a F2F scheduled yet
… we need to make sure our schedule makes sense

Fady: I see no problems now
… any problems with the minutes? (none)
… lets publish

Discuss Wiki cleanup

Fady: have created an archive, should we do it now or offline

McCool: last time I created a link to a github page with the archive
… we should just copy things year by year and have a separate page

McCool: let me do it right now and we can review later

github Wiki

Fady: I did some tests, we can have a repo of MD files

McCool: where do the md files live

Fady: I did not clone the repo, need to check
… a separate repo

McCool: what if somebody does a PR against that repo?

Fady: you can see the history
… just started today

McCool: we should see if we can open it up to non-members

Fady: we could do, but people could do what they want

McCool: if we don't allow non-members this may cause problems

Fady: people could still have them using issues
… without that it is not going to work at all

McCool: Echonet needs a plugfest summary, I started, need to finish, expect to do it today
… will send a summary to Kaz, Mizushima-san, ...

Fady: it is easy to stick it in the wiki if you have a md file
… any concerns?

Lagally: please provide an easy way to identify the up to date information
… this is important for people who are not able to attend here on a regular basis

McCool: proposal: link to the Wiki from the readme, this is what people look at first

Fady: this is easy to do

McCool: let me try to do it, it looks to be pretty straightforward

McCool: I got a 404 on some operation, may need to do a manual copy
… we still use issues for the plugfest, will carry over these issues and clean up afterwards

Lagally: 2 questions
… 1. we have a repo already
… should clarify what is ongoing, etc.
… probably need to add profile identifier

McCool: do you have JSON Schema or Profile?
… the next thing should be adding a JSON Schema for Profile

Lagally: next
… 2. would like input from Plugfest participants for Profile

McCool: should be careful because some of the Plugfest efforts are experimentations

Lagally: what about Web Things?

McCool: didn't join the TPAC Plugfest
… they're working on directory, so would like to see their work

Lagally: ok
… Web Things, Fujitsu and Fraunhofer are working on directory

McCool: it depends on the code base
… thought Fujitsu's implementation was based on node-wot
… I have a proxy
… end point
… also would see OAuth
… think Web Things is also handling OAuth

Lagally: ok

McCool: we need to look into Web Things implementation too
… one of our goals is aiming interoperability
… we need to contact Ben

Fady: ok

Kaz: regarding github and wiki

Kaz: based on the discussion today, it seems we plan to use the GitHub wiki in addition to the W3C wiki and GitHub MD.
… in that case, three locations for W3C testing...
… W3C wiki, github repo, and github wiki

Fady: w3c wiki is just for calls, should not have results
… the github wiki is just to capture project descriptions... copy info from

McCool: understand point about having things in too many places
… readme can point at things
… but it occurs to me the W3C wiki does not link to the repo, even
… and people looking for that content may get lost

McCool: (created a summary template for 2021.09.Online)

summary template

McCool: (also created a PR to put content)

PR 200 - Add Summary for Online.09 plugfest
